Samsun Teknopark
Samsun Teknoloji Geliştirme Bölgesi kuruluş çalışmaları, 2009 yılı Temmuz ayında ilan edilen Bakanlar Kurulu kararı ile OMÜ (Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi) Atakum Yerleşkesi‘ndeki 80.000 m² arazi üzerinde başlamıştır. Yapımına 2012 yılı Mart ayında başlanılan Samsun Teknopark İdare Binası ve Kuluçka Merkezi inşaatı 2014 yılı ikinci çeyreğinde hizmete girmiştir. Yönetici şirket, Samsun Teknopark’ın vizyonunun ve amaçlarının yerine getirilmesinden sorumlu tüzel kişiliktir. 33 ortağı bulunan Yönetici Şirket, 4691 sayılı Teknoloji Geliştirme Bölgeleri Yasası kapsamında, şirket ana sözleşmesindeki kurallarca belirlenen yönetim kurulu gözetiminde görev yapmaktadır. Teknopark ziyaretleri, öğrenciler için okul dışı öğrenme ortamları açısından son derece değerlidir çünkü teorik bilgileri gerçek yaşam ve üretim süreçleriyle ilişkilendirme fırsatı sunar. Bu ziyaretler sayesinde öğrenciler, teknoloji geliştirme, yazılım, mühendislik ve inovasyon süreçlerini yerinde gözlemleyerek bilimsel düşünme ve problem çözme becerilerini geliştirebilir. Teknokentteki laboratuvarlar, Ar-Ge merkezleri ve girişimcilik alanları, öğrencilere araştırma yöntemlerini, prototip üretimini ve teknoloji transfer süreçlerini anlamaları için somut deneyimler sunar. Ayrıca, start-up ve teknoloji firmalarıyla etkileşim, öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşünme, takım çalışması ve iletişim becerilerini güçlendirir.

Ziyaret Notları
Öğrenci grup ziyaretlerinde herhangi bir ücret talep edilmemektedir. Ancak ziyaret öncesi randevu alınarak öğrenci sayısı konusunda bilgi verilmelidir. Samsun Teknopark'a ulaşım araçlarla sağlanmaktadır ve kurum girişine kadar araç ulaşımı mevcuttur. Bu nedenle öğrenci gruplarının kampüs içi trafiğe dikkat etmesi gerekmektedir. Ziyaret esnasında rehber eşliğinde ve ziyaret alanları olarak nitelendirilen bölümler ziyaret edilir. Ekipmanlar, prototipler ve teknolojik materyaller yalnızca izinli ve rehber gözetiminde kullanılabilir. Ziyaret sırasında ziyaret alanlarının dışına çıkılmaması önem arz etmektedir. Kurum ziyareti sırasında yiyecek ve içecek tüketimi yapılmamalıdır. Bunun için kampüs içinde bulunan OMÜ Yaşam Alanı içinde yer alan ücretli kafe ve restoranlardan yararlanılabilir.
